You have the right to ask for help at any time throughout the CalFresh application process.
You have the right to ask for help with collecting and submitting any documents needed for verification purposes, to have 10 days for submitting any requested verifications, and to ask for a state hearing within 90 days.
You are responsible for reporting any changes as required, and to cooperate with county, state, and federal personnel.
You are committing a crime if you purposely provide false information, or withhold information in an attempt to receive CalFresh benefits that you are not otherwise entitled to, or to help someone else receive CalFresh benefits that they are not eligible to receive. You must pay back any benefits you were not eligible to receive.
