Formerly known as Food Stamps, CalFresh is financial assistance that is received on a monthly basis to use to purchase grocery items. From CalFresh eligibility to maintaining CalFresh benefits, our passionate team of students and professional staff individually support each student through their CalFresh journey.

After applying, you’ll be contacted to review your application in detail over the phone with a county worker. This part is referred to as a County Interview. During the interview, the county worker will advise you on what documents you need to submit to the county office to finalize your CalFresh eligibility. If your application is approved, you’ll start receiving benefits to use on grocery items.
